Wine Star App Reviews

My girlfriend and I started drinking more wine and before long we realized we needed a way to track what we had tried, what we liked and more importantly what we didn’t like. I went searching the app store, sifting through all the various wine app options available. Well there is a lot of selection most were way more than we needed. We didn’t want recommendations or reviews or complicated cellar storage. We just needed something simple and easy to use which is exactly what Wine Star is. There is a build in 3 star rating which breaks it down to love, like, dislike. You can take a photo of the label and sort your list via rating and region (among others). This is perfect for pointing us to the right section of the store to pick up that favourite wine, rather than scanning our memory banks and hoping we haven’t got confused. I appreciate this app for filling our exact need and as such wanted to provide positive feedback as the world is way too quick to insult and too greedy with compliments. So thank you and good work.

For anyone who loves wine but cant always remember WHAT wine they love. Its a great app thats useful and fun! I highly recommend!!

This is the perfect wine journal!

Im always forgetting what wines I like after enough time goes by. Having a quick and easy way to log my favorite wines with my phone is genius. Great app. A cool feature to add would be to have the ability to email/share/send wines/lists (with pics) to myself or friends.

This is a very handy app to keep track of the wines I buy, countless times I forget which ones I prefer! Nice to share the review quickly also.

A simple, easy to use way to keep track of what Ive liked and disliked. It would be nice if the app had a small Notes section for myself.

Perfect for quickly adding a wine I enjoy, or even a bottle I loathe. The ability to quickly share my thoughts to friends was great too.

This app is great, but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be able to rate wines on a scale of 4 or 5 stars instead of just 3 (pretty please?) It does give you flags, dollar signs, and a spot for photos but no place for notes. Easiest wine app to use that I have found to track. Bottom line - great app.

Enjoy using this app. Need to add WHITE MERLOT as a wine type. Will continue to use.

Wow - so easy to use. A quick way to record first impressions of wine. I agree with other reviews a notes section would be great and more stars.

This is a very nice app for quickly recording how you liked or didn’t like a wine. However, it offers only 1-3 stars for rating a wine. It REALLY needs 1-5 stars to give the user a more accurate way of rating a wine. It also has stopped accepting “price” data. And, it’s worth noting that it has not been updated since 2013… makes you wonder if the developer is still around or if he/she cares. Other than that, it is a good app.
